As prime contractor on one of the first ARRA projects for the Arizona Department of Transportation our scope included the widening of a major highway (I-17), expansion of lanes on two bridges which involved a complex traffic control plan. An approach slab was poured, barrier walls were installed and retaining walls were built for the additional lanes. The contracted project schedule had a July 2010 completion which is ahead of schedule with an April finish, and had minimal public delays with no road closures.
